About Us

I would like to introduce us. My name is Matthew Karam. My father, Harvey Karam, started our school in 1973. I started my training when I was 5 years old. We are now a second generation school and have taught thousands of students (just like you!) over the past 37 + years. We are one of the most established businesses in Tuscarawas County and one of the oldest martial arts schools in the state. We are now teaching the children of people who trained in our program as adults and kids.

Along with that – my wife Audra, is Program Director at our school and has a Bachelor’s degree in CLS (Child Life Specialist) and is also ICPS1 certified (Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist). Audra’s extensive training and experience has helped us create the best program for your child. My wife and I are raising 4 of our own children who are outstanding young people. (In fact, you’ll probably meet them when you visit our school.)

We have continued to update our teaching methods and techniques every year, so that your child will receive the most comprehensive and successful classes available today.
